THIS PAINTING IS SOLD

As I walked through my dining room, one day, in the afternoon, I noticed this arrangement of real and shadow and thought it might make a reasonable subject for a painting.  In addition, I work in acrylic paint and acrylics are as difficult to blend smoothly, as oil paints are easily blended - therefore, I knew it would be a challenge to make this painting.  All I need is a challenge and I'm off.  I have to admit that while this image looks very much like the original chair and shadow, it still leaves something to be desired - in my mind.  That is probably because it is much looser than I usually paint.
I view this painting as a moment in time - fleeting, gone as the earth changes it's positing in the universe.
