This painting is the result of a couple of years with many photos of this old truck hanging around with me not knowing how to use the image in a painting. After a series of ideas rehashing what I had already done were out in the open, I decided to make up a spot (geographically) and focus on the that quiet time in the snow with the sun and you and just whatever else is there. The tree is a real tree but not in that place the truck is real also but from a different locale. The setting - composition - is a complete fabrication; well, not really, the texture of the mountains were taken from a real place.
