Red and Green Leaves

This painting attempts to capture the sun, late in the afternoon, illuminating this Japanese red maple tree I have with a bush behind it whose leaves are a bright yellow-green. I tried to focus on just the battle for the light. I also tried to work with the idea that this is an abstract painting, even though it comes right out of my side yard reality.
