Looking Through Glasses at Glasses Looking Back at Me
This painting shows how I think about glasses. They are necessary and irritating, at the same time. There is a separation of eye contact with the reflections on the surface of the lenses - and the separation of ages, when you consider who is looking and who is being looked at, evidenced by the bi-focal lines on the viewers glasses. Extending this age difference theme, the painting on the back wall is of Stonehenge - that is pretty old.
