In this painting I wanted to share my amazement of the zipper. In my thinking, I tied this concept to our distant past, when we covered ourselves in animal skins, held tight with simple closures, then, over time, the button followed. By refining that idea we, now, have the modern zipper. ...warm and toasty inside, cold and unpleasant outside.
