This is another painting of a local factory where they make cement products - namely, Portland Cement. I was looking for another view of this structure and I happened upon it while the later sun was shining, shaping the surface of the cement silo. I find it interesting that this silo is concrete and it holds cement...hmm. I attempted to get the shape and the texture, the light and the mass of this large object while holding back on some of the detail. My industrial paintings are all about detail, this one let me be a little more relaxed - maintaining the same hard edged look of my industrial work.
